The Good Samaritan Project offers monthly financial assistance packets that covers a families food, parking, and gas while their child is in the cardiac ICU.

  • 80% of parents with a Heart Warrior experienced $1,000 or more for every month they were in the hospital

  • Over 50% of parents had to place extraneous expenses on a credit card

  • The majority of hospitals do not reimburse for parking or food

  • The average stay for an infant on a heart transplant list is 110 days

  • There are over 2,500 infants on the heart transplant list, and only 500 hearts become available per year

  • The average stay for any heart surgery is a one month admission

Heart Warrior Ministries has helped over 40 families in 10 ICU’s pay for food, parking, and gas while their child is in the ICU through the Good Samaritan Project.
